Andrew W. Schroeder
Bioinformatics Scientist
Andrew is a bioinformatics scientist in the Genomics CoLab as well as the Sandler Asthma Basic Research Center. Prior to Joining UCSF in 2018, he received a Master’s in biostatistics from Saint Louis University and completed internships at the NIH National Human Genome Research Institute and NASA Langley Research Center. At UCSF he analyzes next-generation sequencing data such as RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq data. He is currently analyzing blood RNA-seq data from a large cohort of COVID-19 patients to find biomarkers associated with disease severity.
