Henry Rodriguez Valbuena
Postdoctoral Associate
Henry is a postdoctoral scholar jointly affiliated with the Scharschmidt and Combes labs. His research focuses on understanding the development of the human immune system from early life ages, including the molecular characteristics of immune cells and their interactions with specific tissues. This includes investigating metabolic signatures in early-life immunity. Henry earned his PhD at the University of California-Santa Barbara in the lab of Tony De Tomaso, where he studied the cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling histocompatibility in the marine invertebrate Botryllus.
