Ian graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Chemistry, Concentration in Biochemistry. She is a Staff Research Associate in the Parnassus Flow Cytometry CoLab, where she provides technical support and assistance to researchers. She is also a member of the Core Immunology Lab at UCSF, where she helps with processing samples, setting up, troubleshooting, and assisting with flow cytometers.
