Vinh Nguyen
Vinh received his BS in Microbiology and Immunology from UC Davis before joining UCSF as manager of the Transgenic and ES Cell Core, a role he held from 2002-2005.
Vinh returned to UCSF in 2009, and continues to be active not only in the Flow CoLab, but also as a key member of research teams in the Department of Surgery, the Diabetes Center, and the Gladstone-UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology, where he is is involved in islet cell transplantation and T cell therapy clinical trials for type I diabetes and in platforms for CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and screening in human T cells. Vinh looks forward to working with other talented staff to maintain the Flow CoLab’s emphasis on training, technical support, consultation, and collaboration and to the opportunity to continue to innovate by bringing new technologies to the UCSF research community.
