Justine Levan
Post-Doctoral Associate
Embedded Researcher
Dr. Justine Levan is a postdoctoral scholar in the lab of Dr. Margaret Feeney in the Division of Experimental Medicine at UCSF. She completed her PhD in the University of Washington’s Pathobiology Program where she characterized mechanisms through which high-risk human papillomaviruses alter the immune response and cell environment to establish persistent infection. In the Feeney Lab, Justine’s research explores the consequences of antigen exposure in utero and in early life on the development of immunity to childhood pathogens. With the ImmunoX CoProject , she is leveraging CoLabs expertise in single-cell technologies to answer these questions in the context of placental malaria and congenital CMV.
